Mother Always Said You Should…

My Mom used to tell me repeatedly to do this and do that, not to do this and not to do that.  ALL, I recall, very valuable advice. Looking back on it, I can say she was, and still is, a very wise woman.

Time reveals, in fact, just about every caring Mother is a Wise Woman.  I can see why we carve out a special day each year to acknowledge Mothers.  So here is a shout out to all Mom’s – I hope you all had a Great Mother’s Day!!

And not to be outdone, my Mother’s Birthday is May 4th which somehow seems to fall on or very close to Mother’s Day each year. So, she gets double the hugs and appropriate accolades every May from my brother and I.

Unfortunately, My Mom’s Mom is no longer here. I am sure that makes her very sad this time of y ...

TAX Day – Ugh!!

I recently read where we were working Jan. 1 through June 30th of each year, just to pay all of our taxes. After that, you keep all you make. Prior to that, 100% goes to the government in some form or fashion to pay for some kind of government worker, work program, social program, defense, project, health care, common good, common projects, etc. Whatever you want to call it, April 17th is TAX day; the deadline for filing your federal income taxes in the United States. Why April?

So, in celebration of this special time of year, let’s talk TAX relief.  If you received last month’s letter from me, you will recall our goal of trying to raise $20,000 for Project Sanctuary, the only stand alone non profit in Mendocino County devoted to serving victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Ass ...

Do You Trust the Ground Hog to Get It Right?

All I can say is WOW!  I am sitting here at my computer typing away, thinking of how grateful I am for the value so many, like you, bring to my real estate business. I’m looking out my office window and there is a sprinkling of clouds and temps forecasted at 70 degrees today for the high.  Spring is Springing!

For many across this great country it’s still COLD, grey, and snowy! Others, never see a snowflake all winter long.  It very well could be SUPER COLD today right here in Mendocino County.  One thing is for sure, this winter season is coming to an end.  It does every year without fail.

Just like the seasons come and seasons go, so do the seasons of life.  I’m sure you have noticed, as I have, the olde ...

Thou Shall Prosper

Like most I did not grow up a rich kid. I recall when I was young getting an allowance but only if I performed specific chores around the house. I also remember being given incentives by my parents for making better than good grades and having to work for things I wanted.

I grew up near a lake that was slam full of bass and at an early age fell in love with fishing. I watched the fishing shows, read the fishing magazines, was a member of BASS at the age of 10 I think. One of my greatest memories was asking my Mom and Dad for a specific fishing rod that was the latest and greatest state of the art fishing rod. My parents came back to me and told me that I could absolutely have it… but it had to be earned. They laid out for me specifically what I needed to do, and that included making all A’s for the entire school year. Needless to say, I earned the fishing rod.

I’m hopeful that you have lots of st ...

Love Covers a Multitude of Wrongs

February as you know brings in Valentines Day, where many of us scramble to make sure those close to us KNOW we love them!  After all - Love is a many splendid thing. My favorite Love Description is: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.

I could go on with all kinds of examples like – Love Your Neighbor as Yourself, even go all business on you with accolades about how much we love doing business with you, or how much we love your referrals and more – but, the point is we do love helping people sell and buy real estate.  And those people say we are good at it!

Please know that my team and I are eager to help anyone yo ...
